Gallery: Recent Projects $55 million dollar ethanol plant at Belle Plaine In October of 2002, PraireSun Energy Products staged a media conference and groundbreaking ceremony announcing the construction of a $55 million dollar ethanol plant at Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan. The 80 million litre plant, the first of three to be announced in the Province, will employ 130 construction workers and up to 35 permanent employees, use 8 million bushels of wheat a year and produce enough distillers grain to feed 120,000 head of cattle. Majority owner Pat Broe, President & CEO of the Broe Companies, joined Premier Lorne Calvert, Industry & Resources Minister Eldon Lautermilch, Crown Investments Corporation Minister Maynard Sonntag, senior officials from PrairieSun Energy Products, along with over 250 community leaders, government representatives and business people to celebrate the groundbreaking. Points West Consulting Inc. was engaged by PrairieSun Energy Products to plan the news conference agenda, prepare all news conference speaking materials, handle news media advisories and on-site news media relations, distribute and track more than 500 invitations to community, business and political leaders, and manage all event logistical arrangements.
